On Wednesday, October 14th, Geli & BMW jointly received a 2015 Energy Storage North America Innovation award for their work integrating second-life electric vehicle (EV) batteries at the BMW Group Technology Office to support the BMW i ChargeForward pilot demand response program.This breakthrough system – named the BMW Internet of Energy Project – provides microgrid and load-control capabilities at BMW’s offices, and allows for BMW to commit to providing capacity to grid service markets.
