Energy Operator System

The Energy Operator System (EOS) is the software program that runs on an Energy Computer to coordinate its various components. These includes the coordination of modules for energy storage, power conversion, energy computing, energy routing, and Internet communications.

Energy Computer operators can interact with their EOS through a secure web interface that hosts various applications, such as applications to visualize the flow of energy and to change personal energy profiles and decision algorithms to meet economic goals. For example, an Energy Computer can be easily set-up to buy electricity from the grid at night, when electricity is inexpensive, and to sell it back to the grid during the day during peak rate times or in demand response. An Energy Computer can also be commanded to “bank” solar-generated energy for use at night or as backup in case of a power outage.

The website’s graphical user interface makes it easy for novices to make changes to their energy profiles, and it allows service professionals to update software and fine tune an Energy Computer’s Local Value Matrix (LVM).
